I have one person whom I know for work who is TEST. We had some interesting discussions.
Everyone else plays a different MMO, or is a historical wargamer. They know about EVE, and sometimes they like to hear my stories. Thus far, they've found it interesting, but the only one who seemed like he might be interested in playing got married and his wife is taking up all his time.

This is a slight detour, but my youngest brother is a big reader of the minerbumping blog.
The first day I introduced it to him, he made the mistake of reading it at work, and after bursting into tears of laughter for the third time he had to explain to his boss precisely what was up.
He said it was an interesting conversation.

I just found out that a co worker of mine used to play EVE. Apparently my stories of the game have inspired him to resub his account.

This guy played while deployed. And honestly, given how his boss is, he has the patience of a saint.
So that's a +1 for EVE's easy accessibility in regards to internet connection and graphics requirements. Half the Americans I know first started playing EVE while deployed since it runs on even a ****ty computer and potato internet.
